KWWR Sports Report 12/13/22
The Blues begin another winning streak… hopefully.
A streak starts with one win and that’s where the Blues are.
After dropping their last two games, they shut out the Nashville Predators at Enterprise Center last night, 1 – 0.
The Blues have a couple of days off before heading to Edmonton to take on the Oilers Thursday night at 8:00.
Community R-VI boys basketball improves their record to 3 – 3 on the season after winning a close game last night (Monday) against North Shelby.
The Trojans were led in scoring by Eli Johnson and Mason Carroll with 17 points each, Gavin Allen with 13 and Tucker Robnett contributed 7.
The win was a bounce back win after dropping some games last week that they should have won according to coach Tad Shotten.
The final last night (Monday) was 56 – 53.
Next up for the Trojans, the Sturgeon Bulldogs on the road tonight (Tuesday).
The Mexico Bulldogs have their conference home opener tonight in the Sports Complex.
The Dawgs are ranked 5th in Class 4 in the latest Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Poll and will take on Kirksville.
Mexico is 5 – 1 on the season while Kirksville is 3 – 1.
JV tips off at 5:00 followed by Varsity action around 7:30.
