Callaway County Accident Sends Auxvasse Woman to Hospital
An Auxvasse woman is recovering from moderate injuries after an accident on Highway 54 yesterday morning (Sunday).
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 10:40 on westbound Highway 54 at County Road 220 when vehicles driven by 54-year-old Rita A. Brown of Auxvasse and 55-year-old Stephen J. Ahlers of Jefferson City were slowing for stopped traffic in the roadway.
Ahlers’ vehicle struck Brown’s vehicle and she was taken by private vehicle to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
