Mexico boys tennis lost to Kirksville last night at the Mexico Netplex, 6-3.

The doubles team of Brendan McKeown & Declan Gleeson picked up a win and they each won their singles matches as well.

Up next for the Bulldogs is the Columbia Independent School Lions at the Netplex in Fairgrounds Park Monday afternoon at 4:30.

In Bulldogs baseball action last night, it was a split Varsity / JV doubleheader with Father Tolton.

Despite picking up 9 hits, including multiple hits from Sam Ryan, Landyn Kleinsorge, and Andrew Runge, it wasn’t enough to overcome Father Tolton’s 22 hits.

Landyn Kleinsorge took the 19-6 loss for the Dawgs, surrendering 8 runs on 7 hits over 2 innings, striking out one.

Half of the Bulldogs’ runs came in the third inning with Tyler Thoenen and Sam Ryan contributing RBIs.

The Cards were able to slow down the Reds’ rookie pitcher last night, winning 4-2 and extending the Reds’ losing streak to 10 games.

Hunter Greene threw 39 fastballs at least 100 mph in his last start against the Dodgers, but last night topped out at 97.2 mph.

The Cards will send Dakota Hudson to the mound this afternoon, first pitch set for 3:10.

The Royals dropped a game yesterday to the Mariners, 4-1.

They look for revenge in the nightcap, with Kris Bubic getting the starting pitching nod.

First pitch in Seattle set for 8:10.

The Blues are back in action tonight out west, taking on the Arizona Coyotes at the Gila (heel-uh) River Arena in Glendale, puck drops at 9.
