The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team will go for a second consecutive District championship on Saturday when they face the Macon Tigers at the Centralia High School. The number 1 seed Bulldogs defeated the Centralia Panthers 51-36 last night (Wednesday) in the semi-finals. Third seeded Macon upset the 2 seed Kirksville boys 42-35 in the other semifinal game. Tipoff for Saturday’s District championship game between Mexico and Macon is set for 1.

The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team will start play in the SEC Tournament this afternoon.

Mizzou is the 9 seed and will play 8 seed Arkansas with a noon tipoff in Nashville.

The St. Louis Blues lost to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden last night (Wednesday).

The Rangers rallied with 3 straight goals in the third period to defeat the Blues.

Ryan O’Reilly and David Perron each had a goal and an assist, Ivan Barbashev scored and Ville Husso made 24 saves for St. Louis, which had its 4 game winning streak come to an end.
