KWWR Sports Report 2/24/22

In District high school basketball last night (Wednesday) the Montgomery County Lady Wildcats have advanced after defeating the North Callaway Lady Thunderbirds 55-32.

The North Callaway Thunderbirds boys will play Montgomery County in the District tournament tonight (Thursday), weather permitting.

That game has a 7:30 tip.

The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team will host the Kentucky Wildcats at Mizzou Arena tonight.

Tipoff is set for 7pm.

Mizzou women’s basketball’s Haley Troup will represent the Tigers on this years SEC Community Service Team.

Troup has participated in a variety of community service activities since joining the Mizzou program.

That includes helping with Tiger Paw Day, a program that allows players to interact with children through various activities and as pen pals.

She has also spent time serving with Coyote Hill Children’s Home, the Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army and the Special Olympics.
