Mexico Man Sentenced to Thirteen Years in Prison for Child Sex Crimes

A Mexico man is now sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to child molestation in a Callaway County courtroom yesterday (Monday).

According to court records 59 year old Stephen David Muehlman admitted that between 2018 and 2020, he fondled the breast of the victim, who was between 7 and 9 years old.

The sexual abuse came to light when the child victim disclosed to a family member, and the child was subsequently interviewed at the Rainbow House Child Advocacy Center where she disclosed inappropriate touching and fondling by Muehlman.

Under Missouri law, Muehlman must serve at lest 85% of that sentence and must register as a sex offender for life.

The case was investigated by the Auxvasse Police Department, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Social Services – Children’s Division, and Rainbow House Child Advocacy Center.
