Bomb Threat Called in at Stephens College in Columbia

An investigation is underway in Columbia after a bomb threat was called at Stephens College just before 1am this morning (Friday).

According to a report from ABC 17 News a person called Boone County Joint Communications just before 1 this Friday morning and said they had explosives in a school building.

Law enforcement then established a perimeter near Stephens College and called the bomb squad.

After a sweep of the building with K-9 units to search for explosives nothing was found.

The investigation is continuing.
