Police Identify Columbia Murder Suicide Victims

We now know the names of the two victims of what police are calling a murder suicide in Columbia last (Monday) night.

Officers were called to the 5100 block of North Creasey Springs Road just north of Columbia at 11:24 to a possible disturbance.

Deputies arrived and entered the home through an unlocked door to see if anyone needed assistance and found evidence of shots having been fired before being shot at themselves multiple times.

Deputies backed out of the house and tried to communicate with those inside the house, but within minutes flames were seen in the house near where shots had been fired at the deputies.

Once the fire was put out and no one responded to repeated attempts to make contact, the SWAT team entered the house and found the bodies of 39-year old Bobbie Jo Robinson of Columbia and 41-year old Stefan L. Dailing of Moberly.

Autopsies will be done by the Boone County Medical Examiner’s office to determine cause and manner of death.

The investigation continues.
