Columbia Pedestrian Killed By Vehicle Identified By Police

Columbia Police are identifying the pedestrian that was walking and killed after being hit by a vehicle last (Monday) night on Clark Lane.

Police say it was 17 year old Claudine Nibigira of Columbia who was walking east in the 3600 Block of Clark Lane around 10:20 last (Tuesday) night.

A vehicle driven by 44 year old Tamara J. Lewis of Georgia hit the teen.

Nibigira was pronounced dead at the scene, alcohol or drugs are not suspected in the crash.
