New Bloomfield Citizens Meet With State Auditors

Citizens of New Bloomfield are meeting with auditors about an ongoing audit.

The citizens met with auditor representatives yesterday (Wednesday) and found out about the city’s declining fund.

It showed that funds that were supposed to go towards one project were used to fund other projects in the city.

Residents of New Bloomfield began to voice concerns about the city’s funding after the dissolution of the police department in 2017.

In April a petition was drafted to ask for a state audit.

The city has not had a state audit since 2014.

The audit began in January this year and there is no time frame for its completion.
