Columbia Man Sentenced For 2017 Bank Robbery

A Columbia man who robbed a bank and led law enforcement on a high speed chase with an infant in the car will spend 10 years in prison after being sentenced in federal court yesterday. [Thursday]

Twenty eight year old Larome Humphrey entered a guilty plea on July 26 to one count of armed bank robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Humphrey and two other men stole over $2,500 from Callaway bank at gunpoint on April 27, 2017. After fleeing the bank they were spotted by the Highway Patrol in the area of Kingdom City at which time a chase topping 100 miles per hour ensued. Troopers later found the 1 year old child in back seat of the vehicle. The child is the son of Humphrey’s girlfriend.
