Thyroid Medicine Recall

Westminster Pharmaceuticals has issued a voluntary recall for two thyroid medications.

Levothyroxine and Liothyronine were recalled after it was discovered they were manufactured using ingredients found to be deficient with Current Good Manufacturing Practices.

The tablets that are being recalled at the 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 milligram doses.

Consumers who have these thyroid tablets should not discontinue use before contacting their physician for guidance.

No adverse events have been reported.
