MSHP Will Hold First Test Of Wireless Emergency Alert System

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is announcing the first live regional test of the Wireless Emergency Alert system.

The test will take place on Tuesday, July 17 between 10:00 and 10:30 AM. The message will read: “Test. This is a test of the Missouri Wireless Emergency Alerts. No action is required.”

A test of the Emergency Alert System is scheduled for the same time.

The test is primarily for Cole County, but may be heard in Boone, Callaway, Miller Moniteau, Morgan and Osage Counties.
