A woman is in the Audrain County Jail facing charges of Second Degree Domestic Assault and Unlawful Use of a Weapon after an arrest for a stabbing in Mexico.

According to Mexico Public Safety it happened Saturday morning around 11:30 in the 900 block of Hassen Drive.

According to Public Safety there had been a fight inside one of the apartments and 20 year old Lanyia C. Smith was arrested for stabbing a 23 year old man.

The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.
