One hundred fifty thousand dollars in damage is being reported to a house in Columbia after a fire starts in the kitchen early this (Tuesday) morning.

The Columbia Fire Department says it happened to a single family home at 3013 Kohler Circle and took about 15 minutes to get under control.

One adult, and two children were able to escape the home safely.

The fire is being ruled accidental due and was electrical in nature.
