Audrain County Commissioner Leslie Meyer Receives Commissioner Of The Year Award

Audrain County Commissioner Leslie Meyer is the recipient of the Commissioner of the Year award. Meyer was recognized with the award during the County Commissioners Association training in Jefferson City on Thursday, February 28, 2025.

Meyers says, “I am very rarely speechless but this is one of the times that I was! It was very surprising to receive such an honor.

But I have many phenomenal role models, meaning all of our Audrain County elected officials, who show me every day the true meaning of public service.

I am truly blessed to be able to work alongside them as well as serve the residents of Audrain County.”

Meyer started on the Audrain County Commission in 2021.

Since then, she has been active in the Missouri Association of Counties as the chair of the agriculture steering committee and an at-large director, the County Commissioners Association as the treasurer and a member of the executive board; and the National Association of Counties’ Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee as well as a member of the Rural Action Caucus.
