Mexico Man Charged With Invasion of Privacy After Being Accused of Putting Hidden Camera in Minor’s Bedroom

A Mexico, Missouri man is charged with two felony counts after an arrest where he is accused of putting a hidden camera in the bedroom of a minor.

Audrain County prosecutors charged Adarian Shepherd with two felony counts, Invasion of Privacy – of a Victim Less Than 18 Years of Age, and Attempted Invasion of Privacy – of a Victim Less Than 18 Years of Age.

According to court documents the victim met with Mexico Public Safety officers in December and said a camera had been hidden inside a rack for stuffed animals in her bedroom.

The victim allegedly told the officers she had been able to view the footage from an SD card, which she reportedly gave to officers along with the camera and a laptop.

The court documents stated that a friend of the victims was also seen undressed on the camera.

The victim said that Shepherd was renting a room in her house.

Shepherd was arrested and taken to Audrain County Jail, where he bonded out on a $15,000 bond.
