Wellsville Hosts Montgomery County in Pink Out Basketball Games to Raise Cancer Awareness
Wellsville-Middletown and Montgomery County were united together under one cause on Friday, December 20, 2024.
The event was held to honor those who are battling cancer, while also giving remembrance to those we have lost.
Between the boys and girls games the pact house in Wellsville heard from Jessica Penn, who’s 11 year old son Avery has been battling a brain tumor.
Penn says this game is one of the most important events we have in the community.
The Wellsville-Middletown student council presented a check to The Helen Reagan Cancer Fund, to the amount of $5,791.84.
Throughout the past 14 years both Wellsville and Montgomery have donated thousands of dollars to help promote cancer awareness.
Phyllis Reagan says events like this one, help those battling with cancer keep up with their expenses.
