Week 6 of the high school football season is in the books and taking a look at area games it was:

  • North Callaway defeating Louisana 38 – 14
  • Mexico defeated Fulton 21 – 14 to claim their 13th consecutive Highway 54 Bowl
  • Centralia took it to Highland 80 – 26
  • Blair Oaks defeated Blue Valley Southwest (Kansas) 59 – 28
  • Boonville over California 21 – 7
  • Bowling Green remains undefeated and gave Van-Far their first loss of the season with a 52 – 6 victory
  • Rock Bridge outlasted Camdenton 35 – 30
  • Helias shutout Capital City 33 – 0
  • Macon bested Clark County 15 – 8
  • Smith-Cotton by a field goal over Battle 24 – 21
  • Hickman beat Jefferson City 49 – 35
  • Southern Boone defeated Eldon 39 – 15
  • Hallsville loses to Osage 52 – 16
  • Kirksville took down Hannibal 16 – 15
  • South Shelby shutout North Platte 38 – 0
  • Hermann loses to Sullivan 20 – 12
  • Montgomery County beat Mark Twain 40 – 16
  • Moberly defeated Marshall 42 – 8
  • Monroe City over Palmyra 36 – 20

The 9th ranked Missouri Tigers will play their first road game of the season as they head to College Station today (Saturday) to play 25th ranked Texas A&M.

The Tigers are 4 – 0 and are coming back from a bye week.

The Aggies are 2 – 0 in the SEC.

According to ESPN matchup predictor, Texas A&M has a 48.2% chance to win today’s game (Saturday).

The Kansas City Royals will be at Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the American League Divisional Series against the New York Yankees.

First pitch is set for 5:38pm.

The Kansas City Chiefs made two roster moves yesterday afternoon(Friday), before their Monday Night Football matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

The team is activating practice squad tight end Jody Forston to the 53-man-roster and to take his place on the taxi squad, the team is re-signing cornerback Darius Rush.

The Chiefs now have 52 players on their active roster, with an estimated $3.7 million in cap space.
