Columbia Teen Injured in Audrain County Accident
A Columbia teen is recovering from moderate injuries following an accident in Audrain County during the evening hours of Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report it happened on 54 eastbound at County Road 834 when a 17-year-old boy from Columbia fell asleep while driving, the vehicle went off the road, overcorrected and collided with a 2020 Volvo Tractor driven by 48-year-old Kevin O’Connor from Keokuk, Iowa.
O’Connor was not injured.
The Columbia teen was taken by EMS to University Hospital for treatment.
