Centralia Man Injured in Jefferson City Accident
Several traffic crashes in Jefferson City this morning (Thursday) were the cause of delays and congestion.
According to the Jefferson City Police Department they responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries a little after 7am on southbound US 54 near the US 64 off-ramp.
A vehicle driven by 22-year-old Wyatt C. McEuen of Centralia was exiting US 63 southbound to US 54 and, when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and skidded into the southbound lanes US 54 and into the path of a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Daniel T. Jordan of Holts Summit.
McEuen and Jordan both reported minor injury and were treated and released on the scene by EMS.
Traffic on southbound lanes of US 54 was down a lane for about 30 minutes.
Jefferson City Police Department says during the investigation, there were two additional known crashes in the area adding to traffic congestion.
