The participants for tonight’s (Friday’s) home run derby at Gallop Field at the Mexico High School have been announced.

Representing the Mexico Lady Bulldogs will be Jo Thurman, Emma Cunningham, Kylie Burnett, Karlee Seifert, Brooke Teel, Kenley Jones, Hannah Loyd, and Maddy Feger.

Mexico Bulldogs football will be represented by Drew DeMint, Tyson Carr, Kaden Benne, Hunter Cuno, Daunte Cline, Peyton Hoover, Jacob Johnson, and Ethan Fryer.

The home run derby takes place at the Gallop Field at 10pm and the midnight scrimmage at Hawthorne Heights.

Entry is $1 or a bottle of Gatorade.

Mizzou Athletics announced yesterday (Thursday) lower concession prices for the 2023 football season.

Cheeseburgers will cost $5, down from $8 last year.

Hot dogs went from $6 to $3.

Soda, Bottled Water and Popcorn will see more than a 50% decrease in price to $2.

Mizzou football kicks off their season opener in just three weeks when the Tigers host South Dakota at 7pm on August 31st.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 5-2 last night (Thursday) and ended up taking two out of three games to win the series.

Redbirds starting pitcher Matthew Liberatore pitched a gem going eight innings and recording a career high seven strike outs.

The Cardinals offense was boosted with home runs from Tommy Edman and Andrew Knizner.

The Kansas City Royals were shut out 2-0 by the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
