No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Man Involved in Gun Disturbance at Mexico Home

Criminal charges are not likely to be filed after a disturbance with a gun in a Mexico home where a woman was shot and another man died on Friday afternoon according to a press release sent out today (Tuesday) from Mexico Public Safety.

Mexico Public Safety identified the man in the shooting in the 1000 block of Muldrow Street as 66-year-old Rodney D. Bross.

Bross and the 51-year-old victim had been living together.

The victim who was shot and identified herself as 51-uear-old Jeanne Morris on social media was treated at the University Hospital and released.

Audrain County Coroner Todd Yager says no foul play is suspected in the death of Bross.

The exact cause of his death has not been determined as results from the toxicology report are pending.

According to a social media post from Morris she was attacked by Bross in her home after taking a shower.
