Mexico, North Callaway and Centralia FFA Chapters Earn Top Honors at FFA Convention

More FFA Chapter Awards are being announced following the 95th annual FFA Convention held in Columbia last week.

The Mexico FFA Chapter was awarded a Gold Emblem.

Mexico placed 36th out of 355 chapters.

Nell Waller of the Mexico FFA Chapter was recognized as an Area 4 Star in Agriscience.

She is the daughter of Benjamin and Jackie Waller of Mexico.

The North Callaway FFA Chapter placed second in the nursery/landscaping career development event.

There were 50 teams in the competition.

The Centralia FFA Chapter was awarded a Gold Emblem and placed 5th out of 355 chapters.

Mix Country 96 DJ and KXEO News Reporter Ray Michaels is the recipient of an Honorary State FFA Degree following the 95th Missouri FFA Convention.

Michaels had no high school experience with FFA, however had the idea to spotlight hard-working FFA members in June 2019 while working at Country 96.

Michaels continues to assist FFA chapters in northeast and central Missouri to highlight fundraising events and projects through interviews with members and advisors with the FFA Event of the Day which can be heard on Mix Country 96 every morning.
