KWWR Sports Report 3/30/23
It’s opening day for major league baseball and for the first time since 1968, all teams are in action on opening day with 15 games on the schedule.
Miles Mikolas gets the start for the Cards as they host the Toronto Blue Jays at 3:10. They’ll counter with Alek Manoah.
In Kansas City, Zach Greinke takes the mound for the Royals as they host the Minnesota Twins who are starting Pablo Lopez.
First pitch at Kauffman is also at 3:10.
In high school baseball yesterday, Community R-VI won at home over Silex 7 – 2 and improve to 3 – 1 on the season, Helias took down Carthage 12 – 2, and Elsberry beat Hannibal in Hannibal 4 – 3.
In the battle of the Bulldogs in Harrisburg, the defeated New Franklin 3 – 2.
Van-Far is still looking for their first win of the season after a loss to North Callaway 16 – 1.
The Blues are on the road tonight taking on the Blackhawks in Chicago. Puck drops at 7:30.
