Vandalia Man Charged in Alleged Intentional Vehicle Crash
A Vandalia man is charged after being accused of hitting another car with his truck intentionally.
According to court records, Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a crash on April 15, 2025, on South Main Street at East Woodlawn Street in Vandalia where a man, woman and child were in a red Dodge Challenger that had front end damage.
According to troopers the car had been hit by a Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Joseph Fischer.
Troopers said the truck left the area and they later found it unoccupied on County Road 437 in Pike County.
Troopers arrested Fischer the next day during a traffic stop.
Prosecutors charged Fischer with three counts of First Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, Tampering with Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution, and First Degree Stalking.
