Mexico Man Sentenced to Multiple Years in Prison for Child Sex Crimes

A Mexico, Missouri man is sentenced to five years in prison on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, after being charged with first-degree statutory rape and statutory sodomy of a person younger than 14 years old.

According to the probable cause statement Nickolas G. Crum allegedly sexually assaulted the victim multiple times without the victim giving consent.

Crum originally pleaded guilty to statutory rape in January.

Crum allegedly bragged to the victim that he would beat the case even with a public defender later telling them that he had an electronic file on how to beat the case.

A Mexico man is facing charges after an arrest for inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old juvenile.

According to a press release from Mexico Public Safety says towards the end of January, 2024, they received a report that 18-ear-old Nickolas G. Crum of Mexico was having inappropriate contact with the teen.

The report was investigated and a case was forwarded to Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney for Statutory Rape and Statutory Sodomy.

An arrest warrant was issued on March 8, 2024 and Mexico Public Safety arrested Crum and transported him to the Audrain County Jail.

During the investigation Mexico Public Safety says they learned of another 13-year-old juvenile Crum had been in contact with.

The investigation will be completed and forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney as well for possible additional charges.
