The Mexico High School baseball team lost 5-4 to Lutheran St. Charles in Mexico on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The Bulldogs lost the lead late.
The game was tied at four in the top of the eighth inning when Lutheran St. Charles scored a run off a sacrifice fly.
Mexico out hit Lutheran eight to seven.
Jaydon Eldridge led Mexico with two hits.
Brady Fox and Sam Ryan each drove in two runs for the Bulldogs.
Up next Mexico hosts rival Fulton on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

University of Missouri women’s basketball has inked transfer guard Saniah Tyler from Kentucky, head coach Kellie Harper announced on Wednesday.
Tyler averaged 10.2 points and made 13 starts while appearing in 32 games as a sophomore.
During the campaign, she recorded a career-high 22 points in a win over Mississippi State, scored 20 or more points in two contests and 15 or more in six games.
A staunch presence on the defensive end, Tyler notched two or more steals on five occasions.
A Florissant, Mo. native, she made 23 appearances and averaged 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 2024-25 as Kentucky reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
As a freshman, Tyler appeared in nine games including three SEC contests.
A four-star prospect out of Incarnate Word, Tyler was tabbed the No. 22 point guard in the 2022 class.
Named the St. Louis Post Dispatch All-Metro Player of the Year as a senior, Tyler led her high school team to an 85-4 record and two state titles.
Over the course of her prep career, she amassed 1,174 career points with 401 assists,
With the addition, Tyler becomes the first-ever Incarnate Word graduate to sign with the Tigers.
Tyler also marks the first addition for Harper at Mizzou.
The St. Louis Cardinals lost 2-1 to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the conclusion of their three game series at PNC Park on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The Redbirds managed just one run on seven hits.
The Cardinals lost two out of three games to the Pirates.
The Kansas City Royals were shut out 4-0 by the Minnesota Twins at the K.
The Royals have been shut out twice now in 12 games this season.
The St. Louis Blues lost 4-3 to the Edmonton Oilers on the road on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The Blues gave up the game winning goal with 21 seconds left in the third period.
