Vandalia Man Charged With Child Sex Crimes

The following press release was sent from the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office.

On January 28, 2025, the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation in reference to sexual abuse allegations concerning a juvenile victim in Vandalia, Missouri.

As a result of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence and arrested Dana Ray Hull, age 36, of Vandalia, Missouri for child sex crimes and failure to register as a sex offender.

On January 29, 2025, Hull was formally charged by the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney for the following offenses:

  • Cont I: with violating Section 566.062, RSMo, by committing the Class U Felony of Statutory Sodomy Or Attempted Statutory Sodomy -Deviate Sexual Intercourse – Person Less Than 14 Year of Age;
  • Count II: with violating Section 566.062, RSMo, by committing the Class U Felony of Statutory Sodomy Or Attempted Statutory Sodomy -Deviate Sexual Intercourse – Person Less Than 12 Years of Age;
  • Count III: with violating Section 566.151, RSMo, by committing the Class U Felony of Enticement Or Attempted Enticement Of A Child (Actor 21 Yrs Of Age Or Older And Child Less Than 15 Yrs Of Age);
  • Count IV: with violating Section 589.425, RSMo, by committing the Class E Felony of Fail To Register As A Sex Offender Pursuant To 589.400-425.

Hull remains in the Audrain County Jail on a No Bond Arrest Warrant.
