Fulton Police Department Release Update on Shooting Death of Fulton Teen
Fulton Police are looking for juveniles in connection into the murder of a 17-year-old.
According to a news release from the Fulton Police Department, the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad investigated over 250 leads into the shooting death of Mason Sheets who was fatally shot on Sunday, January 19th.
The news release stated that the persons of interest that they are looking for are juveniles who are not from Fulton.
The department said they would not release the names of the suspects due to their age.
Law enforcement is currently looking for the juveniles to take them into custody.
Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller said he was the officer in charge for this Major Case activation and was there each day.
Oller said, “It’s really an awe inspiring sight to watch a case like this develop. To go from not knowing much, and guiding and watching investigators glean tiny pieces of circumstance and evidence, to the point of eventually having identified suspects and developing ROCK SOLID Probable Cause in 5 short days.”
Sheets, who was a student at the Fulton High School, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest in a disabled vehicle according to police.

Update: The Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad has followed up on over 250 leads in the homicide of Mason Sheets.
These leads have developed into identifying persons of interest who are juveniles not from Fulton and no names will be released because of their ages.
Mid Missouri Law Enforcement is currently seeking these subjects.
There is no current threat to the Fulton community.
