University of Missouri men’s basketball came up short losing 80-77 to Illinois in the Braggin Rights game played inside the Enterprise Center in St. Louis on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

The Tigers saw their 10-game winning streak snapped.

Graduate Tony Perkins and junior Mark Mitchell led the way for the Tigers.

Both players tied the team-best with 18 points and six rebounds.

Mizzou is now 10-2 on the season, Illinois improved to 8-3.

Missouri football landed a quarterback by securing a commitment from Penn State transfer Beau Pribula on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Pribula entered the transfer portal on December 16th, and reportedly visited the Tigers the next day.

The Tigers can get two years of eligibility out of Pribula, who spent the past two seasons at Penn State as a backup quarterback.

The Kansas City Chiefs had a host of players go down with injuries in their win over the Houston Texans on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Defensive tackle Chris Jones suffered a calf injury, wide receiver Xavier Worthy is being hobbled with an ankle injury, offensive tackle Jawann Taylor has a knee injury and linebacker Jack Cochrane went down with an ankle issue.

Their collective statuses is in doubt for Wednesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a short week.
