The Mexico High School Varsity boys and girls basketball teams split games against Kirksville at the Mexico High School Sports Complex on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The Mexico girls were edged out by Kirksville 52-49.
Scottie Smith and Grace Hudson led the Lady Bulldogs offense with 15 points each.
The Mexico girls evened their record at 4-4 and are now 1-1 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
The Mexico Bulldogs boys defeated Kirksville 55-38.
PJ Perkins finished with 19 points.
Charlie Fisher got into double digits with 11 points.
The Mexico boys improved to 2-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
University of Missouri men’s basketball defeated Jacksonville State 83-72 at Mizzou Arena last night (Tuesday).
The Tigers moved to 10-1 on the season following the result and extended their win streak to 10 straight.
Jacob Crews led the offense for Mizzou with a season-high 19 points and junior Mark Mitchell added 18 points.
Up next Missouri travels to St. Louis to face Illinois on Sunday, for the Braggin Rights game.

University of Missouri women’s basketball team will be looking for its sixth-consecutive win tonight (Wednesdsay), when they host Oral Roberts at Mizzou Arena.

The St. Louis Blues lost 4-1 to the New Jersey Devils at the Enterprise Center.
Jordan Kyrou scored in his fifth straight game for the Blues who are 1-2-1 in their past four games.
