Hannibal Man Arrested After Two-Hour Standoff With Hannibal Police
A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail and is being held without bond after a two-hour standoff with Hannibal Police during the morning hours of Friday, December 13th.
According to a news release from the Hannibal Police Department officers responded to an address in the 2600 block of Atoka.
Officers had received information that 39-year-old Christopher L. McGruder, was inside a residence at the location.
McGruder was wanted on a felony warrant out of Lewis County, and it was believed he could armed with a firearm.
Upon arrival, officers observed McGruder as he went back inside the home.
Officers set up a perimeter around the residence and the Hannibal Response Team was activated, along with a negotiator.
The Hannibal Police Negotiator was able to make contact with McGruder and facilitate the peaceful surrender.
