The high school football season concluded on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

The Blair Oaks Falcons defeated Seneca 38-28 in the Class 3 State Championship game.

Blair Oaks earned their 6th football State Championship in school history.

Helias fell short in the Class 5 State Championship to Platte County 49-14.

Helias finishes the season with a 12-2 record.

North Shelby lost 48-20 to Archie in the 8-Man Championship.

University of Missouri Men’s basketball earned its fifth win in school history over the nation’s No. 1 team, battling to a 76-67 victory over Kansas yesterday afternoon (Sunday) in front of a sold-out crowd at Mizzou Arena.

Three Tigers scored in double figures to lead MU to victory.

Senior Tamar Bates led the team in scoring with a season-high 29 points, while junior Mark Mitchell added 17 points.

Sophomore Anthony Robinson II posted 11 points.

With the win, the Tigers extended their winning streak to eight games, improving to 8-1 on the season.

The Missouri Tigers football team will play its bowl game against Iowa in the Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee, the team announced yesterday (Sunday).

Missouri has never played in the Music City Bowl.

Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 1:30pm on Monday, December 30th, and it will air on ESPN.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Charges 19-17 last night (Sunday) to clinch their ninth straight division title.

The Chiefs have won three straight games, are tops in their conference and have four games remaining before they officially start the defense of their Super Bowl crowns.
