The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team will play New Haven in Round 1 of the Montgomery County Tournament on Tuesday, December 3rd.

Mexico is the 2 seed while New Haven is the 7 seed.

Tip is set for 6pm at the Montgomery County Middle School.

The Mexico High School girls wrestling team competed at the Hallsville Girls Wrestling Tournament on Monday, December 2nd.

Mexico’s Abby Bowen took first place in the 135 pound division.

Mexico’s Alexus Johns took 1st place in the 235 pound division.

The Lady Bulldogs will host their first home match of the season on Thursday, December 5th against Brookfield, North Point and Holt.

Several area girls basketball teams competed in the opening round of the Montgomery County Tournament last night (Monday).

The number 1 seed Clopton Lady Hawks defeated the Bowling Green Lady Bobcats 84-19.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs advanced past New Haven by a score of 48-36.

The 2nd seeded Hermann Lady Bearcats upended Wellsville-Middletown 71-20.

The 3rd seeded Montgomery County Lady Wildcats bested the Fulton Lady Hornets 42-32.

University of Missouri men’s basketball hosts California at Mizzou Arena tonight (Tuesday) on the opening night of the SEC/ACC Challenge.

Tip is set for 6pm.

Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III will forgo his senior year of eligibility and has declared for the NFL Draft.

Burden made his announcement yesterday (Monday) on social media.

According to ESPN, Burden will not play in the Tigers’ year-end bowl game, thus officially ending his three-year tenure at Missouri.

The Denver Broncos continued their unlikely playoff push by defeating the Cleveland Browns 41-32 in a Monday Night Football shootout victory.

The win pushes the Broncos to 8-5 on the season and still in the hunt in the AFC for a wild card.

The Browns fall to 3-9 on the year.

In hockey tonight (Tuesday) the St. Louis Blues are on the road for a game against the Winnipeg Jets.
