Fulton Man Arrested After Being Accused of Fleeing Deputies on a Bicycle
The following press release was sent from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 5, 2024, at approximately 1:38pm, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed 48-year-old Dennis Bowen of Fulton riding a bicycle on County Road 228 near County Road 257 outside of Millersburg.
The deputy was aware of an active Callaway County Probation Violation warrant for Bowen’s arrest, stemming from an original charge of Felony Domestic Assault 3rd Degree, with a bond set at $10,000 cash only.
Upon attempting to take Bowen into custody, he fled on foot into a wooded area.
Multiple deputies, including K9 units Maverick and Tajfun, responded to the scene.
At approximately 2:14pm, the K9 units located Bowen, and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Additional charges related to this pursuit are pending.
Bowen remains in custody at the Callaway County Jail. Deputies were assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
