The Mexico High School softball team shut out the Moberly Lady Spartans 5 – 0 in Mexico on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Lady Bulldogs starting pitcher Keerstan Ewing pitched seven innings of shut out ball.

Aleigha Henderson hit two triples and recorded four RBI.

Hannah Loyd contributed two RBI.

Kaleigh Samuelson recorded a double.

Mexico improved to 3-2 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

Mexico hits the road to play at Elsberry on Wednesday, September 25.

The Lady Bulldogs volleyball took a long trip to Kirksville and came out on top with a 3 – 2 victory on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Mexico won 25 – 20 in the 1st set.

The Lady Bulldogs took the second set 25 – 21.

Kirksville took the 3rd set 25 – 18.

Kirksville won the 4th set 25 – 18.

Mexico would come back in the 5th set winning 15 – 13 to take the game.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 6 – 3 overall.

The Redbirds rallied for eighth-inning runs to break open a tied game.

Mason Winn recorded his 15th home run of the season.

Victor Scott II had a career best four RBIs.

The Kansas City Royals edged out the Washington Nationals 1 – 0 in ten innings at Nationals Park.

With five games remaining Kansas City and the Detroit Tigers are up two games over the Minnesota Twins, for the second and third American League Wild Card spots.
