Moberly Police Department News Release 6/17/2024

The following incidents/arrests were investigated by the Moberly Police Department between the hours of 7am on 6/14/24 and 7am 6/17/24.

On June 6, 2024, Moberly Officers took a report of a vehicle theft in the 100 block of Sparks Ave. A video of the suspect was observed, and Officers continued their investigation.

On June 16, Officers arrested a 46-year-old man for outstanding warrants. The man admitted to stealing the vehicle and told Officer’s where he parked it. The Macon County Sheriff’s Office later recovered the vehicle near Excello.

On June 14, 2024, a Moberly Officer investigated a harassment involving an 80-year-old Salisbury man and two juveniles. The man was placed under arrest for harassment and later released with pending charges.

On June 14, 2024, Moberly Officers contacted 55-year-old Robert Dyer in the 700 block of Bueth Road in reference to having multiple felony warrants. Dyer was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Jail.

On June 15, 2024, Moberly Officers responded to the 1700 block of Louisa Lane in reference to a possible burglary in progress. A 59-year-old Moberly man was later located and placed under arrest for a violation of an order of protection. The man was transported to the Randolph County Jail.

On June 15, 2024, a Moberly Officer observed a vehicle being operated poorly near the intersection of Rollins and Bedford St. The 19-year-old operator was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The man was later released with a pending court date.

On June 16, 2024, a Moberly Officer observed 46-year-old Jessy Cross walking near Bratcher’s. The officer knew Cross to have multiple felony warrants for his arrest. After a brief foot pursuit, Cross was taken into custody. Cross was later transported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 16, 2024, Moberly Officers responded to a residence on Tydings Ter in reference an assault. Officers contacted 22-year-old Xavier Brown and he was placed under arrest for domestic assault. Brown was later transported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
