Boone Hospital Goes On Lockdown Due to Threat Thursday Night
Boone Hospital has resumed normal operations after going into lockdown the night of Thursday, August 10, 2023.
According to a spokesperson for Boone Hospital the hospital went into lockdown after Boone County Joint Communications received a call from an individual threatening the hospital.
Boone Hospital said the threat was not credible, however all precautions were taken to ensure the safety of everyone.
The nature of the threat was not specified.
Columbia Police Department gave the hospital an all clear just after 7:30 last night (Thursday), and the lockdown was removed.
