Canadian Wildfires Impacting Air Quality in Central Missouri Today
Air quality is diminished in mid-Missouri today (Wednesday) due to the ongoing wildfires in Canada.
Several drivers in the Centralia and Mexico area have reported that visibility was so bad this morning (Wednesday) they could barely see the car in front of them.
Audrain County Emergency Management Director Carl Donaldson says the peak of the low air quality is around northern Missouri.
Donaldson says this is an ongoing situation as thousands and thousands of acres continue to burn in Canada.
