Tyronn Lue Park Dedication Date Announced
The public is being invited to the dedication of Tyronn Lue Park in Mexico this Sunday, May 14th, at 2pm.
The ceremony will feature the unveiling of new signage reading TYRONN LUE PARK for the former Garfield Park located at 828 Garfield Avenue.
The presentation will honor Lue, the NBA Championship Head Coach, championship player and philanthropist, for his cultural and economic contributions to his hometown.
In addition to remarks by Lue, the ceremony will include the singing of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by Shakea (Toi) Lue, a history of Garfield Park by Chirstal Bruner, Director of the Mexico-Audrain County Public Library, and contributions from other community leaders.
