MoDOT Reveals Preferred Alternative for I-70 / Hwy 63 Interchange Improvements
MoDOT officials reveal the proposed alternative to the interchange of I-70 and Highway 63 at a public meeting last night (Wednesday) in Columbia.
The plan would use two fly-over ramps, one connecting northbound Highway 63 to westbound I-70, the other connecting eastbound I-70 to southbound Highway 63.
MoDOT says these two movements would take the bulk of traffic off the Highway 63 connector, one of the most heavily traveled interchanges in mid Missouri.
The as-yet-unfunded project is expected to enter the formal design phase early next year.
