Cardinals starting pitcher Jordan Hicks had to come out of the game after being hit by a line drive off a bat that drilled him on the underside of his arm near his wrist.

X-rays on the wrist were negative, and Hicks says he has every intention of making his next start in five days.

The Redbirds try to avoid the sweep to the Mets this afternoon.

First pitch is at 12:15.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Chicago White Sox 6-0 in Chicago.

The Royals had a four-run sixth inning that was started by a leadoff double from Bobby Witt Jr.

The St. Louis Blues lost 5-3 to the Colorado Avalanche.

The Blues had their team record 16-game point streak come to an end.

Ryan O’Reilly scored two goals and Jordan Kyrou had three assists.
