The Mexico Lady Bulldogs soccer team lost 6-2 to the Marshall Lady Owls last night (Monday).

Mexico’s Ailyah Smith and Shelby Kennemore scored goals.

Lady Bulldogs head coach Haley Schafer says her team was down 5-1 at the half. Schafer says the second half was much stronger, with higher energy and more defensive urgency.

The Mexico High School boys tennis team lost 9-0 to Capital City last night (Monday).

In the wake of several additions to the roster through the transfer portal Missouri Tigers men’s basketball lost signee Christian Jones.

The 6’4 guard from East St. Louis reopened his recruitment last night (Monday), making the announcement on Twitter.

Jones signed with the previous coaching staff back in November 2021 after verbally committing in July.

Mizzou then parted ways with former head coach Cuonzo Martin following the 2021-2022 season and hired Dennis Gates last month.
