New ACHD Director Search Underway

The search for a new Director of the Audrain County Health Department is underway, according to Board of Health President Dr. Kathleen Weaver.

She says the Board has launched an aggressive advertising campaign and hopes to have a lot of potential candidates to review in the near future.

Day-to-day operations continue uninterrupted at the department, headed by interim directors Becky Wieberg and Katie Swaim, both Registered Nurses.

Dr. Weaver says they hope to have a new full-time administrator in place very soon but are not going to rush to fill the position just because it is empty and will find the right candidate for the position.

Former Director Dr. Sandra Hewlett resigned earlier this month.
