Students Were at Low Risk of Transmitting COVID-19 After Mexico Middle School Teacher Tests Positive
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services say the risk of transmission is low after a Mexico Middle School Teacher has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to an email from the Mexico 59 School District sent out last (Saturday) night, DHSS was consulted and say that those involved should be informed of their potential exposure.
They go on to say it should also be noted that it has been 9 days since potential exposure and no surge in COVID-19 testing has been observed.
The news release says if you or your student are experiencing symptoms to reach out to your healthcare provider as recommended, and the Audrain County Health Department also urges you to call ahead for medical care.
