Governor Parson Declares State Of Emergency
Governor Mike Parson is declaring a state of emergency in Missouri with regard to the coronavirus and implementing the Missouri Emergency Operation Plan.
In a press conference last night, Governor Parson said that this frees up $7 million in funds that can be used to fight the pandemic.
Parson also announced two more cases of presumptive positive tests in the state, since the press conference Parson, tweeted that one of the cases was in St. Louis County.
The location of the 2nd case has not been released.
Missouri has now tested 94 residents with 90 negative results.
Additionally, Parson announced that the decision to close schools is up to local decision makers who know their area.
Parson said, “We will continue to be proactive and continue to work with key personnel to update information.”
