Judge Orders Jefferson City Public Schools To Rehire School Administrator
A judge is reordering the Jefferson City Public Schools to rehire a school administrator who was fired after an alleged data breach last July.
Tammy Ferry, an instructional technology coordinator, had her contract terminated last summer after school board members decided she willfully violated the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act after she transferred student information to her personal account.
A ruling by Judge Jon Beetem earlier this week said the board did not have cause to fire Ferry since she did not disclose the personal information to a third party.
