Remains Found Near Mokane Believed To Be Of Missing Mexico Man

Authorities believe they have found the remains of a missing Mexico man in Mokane.

Last night (Friday) the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office along with the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office received credible information regarding Matthew Beauchamp’s remains being located in the area of County Road 470 near Mokane.

An extensive search ensued, continued into today (Saturday).

Badly decomposed human remains were discovered west of Mokane in a rural area along County Road 470 during the late morning hours today (Saturday).

Matthew’s immediate family has been personally notified of the information.

Positive identification and a cause and manner of death will be determined by the Boone/Callaway County Medical Examiner’s Office after standard medical assessment.
