Damaged Fiber Line Causes Widespread Phone Outages Across Mid Missouri
A fiber line caused widespread telephone service outages yesterday (Monday) across Mid-Missouri.
According to a Century-Link spokesperson the fiber line was cut by a construction crew in Kansas City.
Multiple local and state offices sent out notices that they were affected by the lapse of service.
Jefferson City Police Department said there non-emergency phone system had outages yesterday (Monday).
And the Jefferson City Public Schools said they were affected by the widespread outages as well.
According to a CenturyLink spokesperson crews restored all services to Mid-Missouri customers yesterday (Monday).
